A group of fluorite crystals those, at first glance, seem just octahedra, but if you take a look carefully you will see complex terminations. Green color and dull luster. Acompanied by small quartz crystals. A classic from the former Manchion (Barcelona) collection, collected by himself in January, 1986.
Rich group of microcline crystals, some of them with the Mannebach twin, well defined. Specimen belonging to the collection of Sr. Manchion, acquired at the Sant Celoni mineral show in March 1985. A piece with history.
Group of smoky quartz crystals on a matrix of microcline crystals covered by albite. They present some nick but for me it is a very good and historical specimen. From a classic Catalan locality and from the Daunis collection (Barcelona).

Very sharp augite crystal of good size, very rich in faces, defined and bright. Intense black color. It is an old piece from the Manchion collection and comes from the well-known volcanic region of Olot, in Catalonia, where it is strickly forbidden to collect mineral samples.
This specimen presents a good size nodule, with an internal part with septaria structure, completely covered by very brilliant and transparent green crystals of this rare iron and calcium phosphate. In this specimen we can observe some white aggregates of fluorapatite. Anapaite nodules from the Bellver de la Cerdanya area are a classic of the Catalan and European mineralogy. The materials where these nodules appear are part of the filling of a deep lake of the upper Miocene that developed in the southern part of the Cerdanya basin.
This specimen presents a good size couple of nodules, with an internal part with septaria structure, completely covered by very brilliant and transparent green crystals of this rare iron and calcium phosphate. It is not frequent find double specimens. Anapaite nodules from the Bellver de la Cerdanya area are a classic of the Catalan and European mineralogy. This specimen presents a good size nodule, with an internal part with septaria structure, completely covered by very brilliant and transparent green crystals of this rare iron and calcium phosphate. In this specimen we can observe some crystals with tabular shape, of beige tone, those can correspond to messelite. Rich druse of fluorite crystals. This kind of octahedral crystals show a special brilliance due to the multiple growths of small crystals on the faces of the octahedron. This fact gives them a rough surface. Translucent, with good green color and good size. The Berta quarry-mine is in the process of filling and restoration. Not oiled. An old specimen ca. 1985, from Manchion Collection.
Chrysotile fibrous veins in serpentinized marble from this classic Catalan locality.
This specimen is not a "museum specimen" but for the collectors of this "territory" it has a very good memories. It is a tourmaline, sometimes dravite other schorl, of the pegmatites of the Collserola range, in the area of Tibidabo-Sant Pere Màrtir, in the city of Barcelona. It is one of those pieces that we can not do without if we like our mineralogy. With old label.
Globular groups formed by lamellar crystals of theisite, with a bluish to green color on a matrix of dolomite. It is accompanied by crusts of claraite crystals, of an intense turquoise blue. Also with azurite. Analysis results will be sent to the buyer. Claraite is a rare copper and zinc carbonate which may contain sulfur and/or arsenic. Theisite is a rare copper and zinc arsenate-antimonate that has been described for the first time in this mine in the Catalan Pyrenees. These mineral species are the second citation in Spain.

Nowadays galena specimens from this Catalan mine are very difficult to be found. This piece of good size is formed by a compact group of galena crystals, with dominant octahedral faces very visible, together with some of the cube. It shows fissures due to the own tensions of the specimen, but that do not affect (they even add interest) to the sample. It is accompanied by dolomite and calcite. A Spanish classic from a classic collection.
Groups of fan-shaped epidote crystals, very bright and with transparency and disposed very aerial on the ophite matrix. Intense green color, brightness and transparence. It is currently prohibited to collect in this area. A sample with a good size (12 cm.) and excellent quality, from the classic town of Casterner.
An excellent specimen formed by numerous epidote crystals, from the classic locality of Casterner. Fan-shaped crystals, they are very bright and with an excellent transparence. Better in "person" than in the pictures. Samples of this quality are already few. It is currently forbiden to collect in the area.

Group of huge size orthoclase crystals, showing the complex faces. Nice slightly orange color and defined edges and faces. It was collected many years ago near of the Montseny massif; this area was well known for orthoclase mineral collectors. A classic from a classic Catalan collection.
These specimens of banded flint were collected decades ago in the area of El Brull, in the Montseny massif, and identified as agate. They appear in nodules and veins, embedded in a siliceous limestone, presenting bands of gray tones, between light to dark gray. These kind of striped flind are well know in jewelery, and very appreciated. It is a unique curiosity of the Catalan mineralogy of many years ago.
In this specimen we can enjoy several groups of wire silver, with showy wire to skeletal growths and metallic luster. Accompanied by black acanthite crystal aggregates. From a classic locality for the Catalan and Spanish mineralogy. A good chance to represent this locality in your collection. Nowadays it is very difficult find specimens, only from old collections...

It is a very old specimen formed by prismatic to tabular crystals of celestine, with a radial disposition and filling a cavity in calcite. The matrix is a fossil coral. Fluorescent under LW-UV light. Good size. A classic of the Catalan mineralogy of old times...
This kind of specimens are which make the love for minerals is being reinforced. In this piece, three very interesting magnesium species, two hydroxilcarbonates and one hydroxide coexist. On the one hand we observe some aesthetic and brilliant aggregates of foliaceous crystals of dypingite, forming rosettes, of intense white color, although they are colorless. They are accompanied by sheaves of flattened crystals of hydromagnesite, between translucent to transparent, colorless (they are similar to aragonite). All of them are disposed on a rock matrix covered with a layer with botrioidal forms, from blue to gray, of brucite. A Catalan piece that is hard to find today, with unusual species and quality.
This is one of the old jasper specimens collected by Mr. L. Daunis on the Montjuïc mountain in Barcelona. A place well known by Catalan mineralogists and geologists for the characteristic variety of mineral species that have been collected during centuries. It is a jasper piece with a slightly polished part that allows to enjoy the nobility of this semi-precious stone, the rest presents the original tone. A classic Barcelona sample and label that should not miss in a quality collection.
A huge size and very brilliant druse of prismatic epidote crystals forming fan-shaped forms, with a deep green color. From this classic Catalan locality where nowadays it is forbiden collect specimens.
