RM1728   Baryte
Ba(SO4)

Baryte specimens from this Maghrebian locality are very unusual. They appear labeled as Irhoud and there is a discussion about the locality. These are aggregates of tabular lanceolate baryte crystals those form beautiful rosettes, very aerial disposed, with inclusions those give them these reddish tones. On a matrix with quartz. A rarity.
Echemaïa (Arabic: الشماعية) is a city of Morocco, located in the region of Marrakech-Safi between the city of Safi and Marrakech. Formerly called "Al Kasba" it was renamed "Chemaïa" (literally: "La Chandelière") since the establishment of one of the largest candle factories in the region.

Intense color and transparence. They are accompanied by small groups of pale pink almost colorless talmessite-wendwilsonitecrystals of  and almost black crystals of arseniosiderite. All standing out on the dolomite. A sample of very good quality and that under increase makes us enjoy these arsenates. We will send all the analytical results to the buyer.

RM1698   Talmessite with conichalcite and calcite

Rich specimen formed by several isolated crystals of talmessite, translucent to transparent, defined, from pink to orange. They are disposed on a matrix with bright calcite crystals and green crystalline aggregates of conichalcite. The sample has been analyzed by SEM-EDS and Raman. Aesthetic specimen of wendwilsonite formed by numerous sized and isolated crystals, transparent, very well defined, some of them doubly terminated. With an intense and uniform pink color. We also observed some aggregates with a yellowish green tone; the SEM-EDS analysis indicates that it is a rich Cu cobaltaustinite that curiously presents a remarkable content in Zn and Ni, something unusual. They are disposed on a matrix with brilliant crystals of calcite and dolomite. The sample has been analyzed completely, so we will send the buyer all the results.

RM1665   Nepheline and schorlomite

A vug that is lined with sharp, hexagonal, grayish-white nepheline crystals, accompanied by lustrous, black crystals of schorlomite as dodecahedral crystals. Schorlomite is a rare garnet group member and much of the material labeled "schorlomite" is, strictly speaking, titanian andradite. Excellent, highly representative combination material of the species. Not very often one can see well formed nepheline crystals of this species, especially crystals this size. Very aesthetic specimen from Jebel Bou-Agrao.

RM1666   Gold, var. electrum and Erythrite

These specimens show a matrix formed by arsenates such as erythrite and associated sulphides and arsenates of cobalt and iron. We can observe on both the presence of arborescent, filiform and laminar gold aggregates. SEM analysis has shown that this is a variety of gold rich in silver (23-24%w): electrum.
Under loupe, we can enjoy that some of these gold aggregates are formed by small crystals of octahedral to cubic forms. We can theorize a secondary genesis for this gold-electrum. We have analyzed the matrix of these specimens observing that the bright metallic matrix corresponds to a mixture of cobalt arsenides, probably skutterudite, and other sulphides. We will send all analyzes to the buyer. The gold and electrum in Bou Azer was already described, but the quality of these specimens we offer surpasses what was known. A very rich gold-electrum specimen.
