Excellent specimen of galena that shows a group of sharp cubic crystals, brilliant, interpenetrated and which are peppered by small crystals of honey color sphalerite. Partially covered by sharp, brilliant quartz crystals and minor calcite. This deposit has been operated by several french compagnies from 1923 to 1960. A quality specimen for this Moroccan locality.
Galena crystal on fluorite from Fontsante. The cube crystal is truncated by octahedron faces. It shows a bluish color due to the natural iridescence. Perfectly disposed on a fluorite matrix covered by brilliant small quartz crystals. It was collected in the Saint-Augustin vein (known for its sulphides). It is no easy to find samples with this quality from this French locality. This former fluorite mine started works in 1919 and closed in 1987.
Group of interpenetrated aragonite crystals, brilliant, damage free and with a more intense brown color zoning in central prism. With naturally corroded pinacoids. A good specimen different from the usual in this classic aragonite Spanish locality. From a former collection Botella.
Curious globular aggregates formed by numerous fluorite octahedral crystals that have grown together, reaching this globular shape. If you look closely under magnification the specimen you can observe different growing phases. Very fluorescent under LW-UV.
This green color is the best ever found for this site, with transparence and brilliance. They are disposed on an matrix of hard porphyry covered by minute quartz crystals, with calcite and goethitized cubic pyrite.
This area is known as Singuerlín (a neighborhood of Santa Coloma de Gramenet city, close to Barcelona) and from 60's collectors has found these globular aggregates with tones between white, yellow or slightly greenish. Then some specimens were analyzed and labeled as gearksutite. More recent analysis did not indicate the presence of this species but only fluorite.
Good size specimen that shows a rich group of stalactitic growth of chalcedony, a variety of quartz. They are disposed randomly on the goethite matrix. Colourless, yellow and orange tones, due to the iron oxides. A very aesthetic specimen from this classic quarry.
An aesthetic globular aggregate of prehnite, disposed very aerially on a matrix covered by several needles of actinolite. Translucent, with a green color with yellowish tones. From a classic Spanish locality.
This aesthetic specimen shows a very rich group of acicular cyanotrichite aggregates, with a deep blue color and brilliance. They're accompanied by green globular aggregates of parnauite. Also we can enjoy groups of green-blue hexagonal chalcophyllite crystals, perfectly defined. The matrix is covered with different iron arsenates. A piece of a classic French mine where today is impossible to get specimens, and less of this quality.
Botryoidal aggregates formed by goethite microcrystals, with a delicate velvety appearance with deep brown to black color zoning. In section we can observe the radial arrangement of goethite crystals. The matrix is a mixture of goethite with some siderite rhombohedrons. These specimens are from a find in the Mont-Roc mine, that is known for the French mineralogy for its brilliant goethites and fluorite.
Excelent group of vanadinite crystals showing a defined hexagonal shape, with very well defined faces and edges, intense red color. Good brilliance and some transparence, with internal reflections between red and orange. Main crystals size and thickness are remarkable. They are disposed very aerial and isolated on a lenticular baryte matrix. The presence of this baryte matrix is highly appreciated by collectors and gives to the specimen a special aesthetics.
A rich group of quartz crystals, brilliant, transparent and with a very delicate and aesthetic smoky tone. They show well-defined prism and complex forms in top faces. They are disposed on a rocky matrix with albite. Talèfre glacier is located in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif.
A huge size group of interpenetrated crystals of hexagonal shape, with a dark gray metallic color and brilliant luster. Crystals of this specimen remind wurtzite for its complex hexagonal shape and dipyramids observed. Many similar samples from this mine has been classified as wurtzite. For this reason we heve proceeded to analyze them. The results indicate that this is a really amazing and interesting pseudomorphosis of sphalerite after wurtzite. A great opportunity for psedomorph and Bolivian mineral collectors.
Studies were carried on by X-ray diffraction of the matrix and hexagonal crystals. They have shown that it is sphalerite. Also, the Raman spectra shows that in the innermost areas of the crystals wurtzite presence has been detected, the rest is sphalerite. SEM-EDS yield a composition: (Zn1.05,Fe0.09)Σ=1.14S1.00.
Specimens of well developed wurtzite are unusual. This hexagonal zinc sulphide, with some iron, presents dimorphism with sphalerite. It is known that wurtzite is stable at high temperatures, low temperatures being the most stable phase sphalerite. This Bolivian mine is the type locality for the wurtzite. We will send the analysis reports to the specimen buyer.
A nice size and aesthetic specimen of gold from this classic Italian locality. Various aggregates of this golden metal with cubic forms, curved edges and faces with small wire growths, with small crystals of sphalerite and tetrahedrite. The luster is really excellent. In the matrix we can observe the presence of different sulphides (also galena). Very different from the usual, to be observed in detail. A specimen analyzed by SEM-EDS, the results will be sent to the buyer.
A very aesthetic fluorite crystal, greenish to bluish tone with zoning, transparent and brilliant. It shows cube faces modified by the trapezohedron. With small pyrite crystals. Very aerial disposed on a brilliant and defined hyaline quartz crystal.

A very aesthetic group of deep green crystals of epidote. Fan-shaped thick prismatic crystals with well defined terminal faces. Just a very few of the terminations are incomplete. Good brilliance and very aerial.

Globular aggregates of prehnite crystals, dull luster and light green. From a Spanish locality not well represented in collections.
Spectacular specimen with a very good size formed by several vanadinite crystals, with an intense red color and translucent. Very aerial disposed on a rocky matrix. Very displayable and unusual specimen.
A scepter quartz crystal with smoky tones, transparence and brilliance. With window growths on rhombohedral faces. Very aesthetic.
Brilliant specimen formed by globular aggregates of orpiment crystals, with good orange-yellow color. They are accompanied by brilliant acicular crystals of realgar with deep red color, transparent and defined. It is accompanied by barite crystals, pyrite and pyrrhotite. A different and quality specimen for this classic Peruvian mine.
Globular growths of barrel-shaped orange yellow to green crystals with a good luster. The crystals are on a matrix with small crystals of quartz.
