Although it is not an aesthetic specimen in the conventional sense, this metacinnabar is a very interesting for the locality and unusual piece for sale. It comes from the Pietrineri mine, a mercury mine included in the famous mercury mineral complex of Monte Amiata, currently completely abandoned. Mining operations at Pietrineri began in 1902 and ceased in 1979. In the specimen we can see the vermilion of cinnabar along with black aggregates of metacinnabar.
Specimen of hydromagnesite formed by various globular aggregates of lanceolated and transparent crystals of this magnesium hydroxylcarbonate. They stand out for their contrast with the ophiolitic rocky matrix. It is not very common to find specimens from this Italian locality.
Radiated spray aggregates of fine dawsonite crystals, a rare aluminum sodium hydroxylcarbonate. They aredisposed on a marl matrix. They come from a known area for the species but from a new find.
Specimen of anhydrite formed by numerous prismatic to tabular crystals, well defined and interpenetrated. On the back we can see the matrix formed by dolomite and brilliant pyrite crystals. Specimens from this Italian mine, located north of Boccheggiano, were collected at the end of the 20th century. The mine worked from the early 1980s, currently the mine is closed.
Very brilliant pyrohedron cluster, of good size and with well defined faces and edges. With some hematite brilliant lamellar crystals. From this classic Italian locality. It belongs to the Joan Astor collection (Barcelona), with a handwritten and typewritten label.

Pyrite specimens from the Elba Island are an Italian classic. But specimens of pyrite, richly faceted, sharp and brilliant included in serpentine are very rare. Undammaged. The label of this specimen indicates that it comes from this famous island. It belongs to the Joan Astor collection (Barcelona), with a handwritten and typewritten label.
Group of very sharp hematite crystals, well defined edges and faces, intense metallic gray color, almost black, with aesthetic iridescent reflections. Very interesting historical piece, from the former Manchion collection.
Very bright specimen formed by numerous hexagonal shape pyrrhotite crystals, accompanied by pyrite. A pyrite mine owned by Solmine. Closed before 1984. An old specimen from an Italian locality from where it is very difficult find specimens.
A rich cluster of hyaline quartz crytals from the famous Carrara Marble quarries of Italy. The ancients believed that water solidified in the form of hyaline quartz crystals... Viewing this specimen, its purity, transparence, brilliance and perfection, perhaps we can understand their interpretation. Snowy white marble matrix with dolomite crystals. An Italian gemm.
A high quality and sized specimen from the famous Carrara Marble quarries of Italy. The ancients believed that water solidified in the form of hyaline quartz crystals... Viewing this specimen, its purity, transparence, brilliance and perfection, perhaps we can understand their interpretation. Undamaged crystals and on snowy white marble matrix, partially covered by tiny crystals of calcite. An Italian gemm...
A huge size specimen formed by a large group of brilliant pentadodecahedron pyrite crystals. With an excellent luster, gold color and very well defined faces and edges. On a solid matrix of hematite crystals. A specimen for the best display.
Sulfur crystals from the marble quarries of Carrara are appreciated worldwide for its gem quality. In this specimen, we offer a sulphur crystal perfectly disposed on the marble matrix. This crystal is very rich in complex well-defined rhombic faces. It is uncommon because they appears usually rounded. The brilliance and transparence are incredible. The color is intensely yellow, very characteristic of these Carrara sulfur specimens. An exceptional and definitive displaying sample, very rare on market, considering that in last years it has been found only few specimens of this size and quality. A great opportunity.

A high quality specimen from the famous Carrara Marble quarries of Italy. The ancients believed that the water solidified in the form of hyaline quartz crystals... Viewing this specimen, its purity, transparency, brilliance and perfection, perhaps we can understand their interpretation. Undamaged crystals, one almost doubly terminated and on snowy white marble matrix, partially covered by tiny crystals of calcite. An Italian gem.
A very brilliant sulfur crystal disposed on a white dolomite and marble matrix. Well defined faces and edges, a little bit curved, good transparence and excellent classic yellow color. These specimens appear in vugs inside the Carrara marble quarries and it is not easy to get them without breaking them. An Italian gem.
This pyrite crystal is disposed very aerial on a brilliant hematite and pyrite matrix. It is not always usual find specimens from this Italian mining area placed on the matrix. Pyrite crystal shows pyritohedron classic forms with complex growths on faces. Its luster and gold color is good and it shows defined faces and edges. An excellent opportunity to have a sample from this classic locality.
