On a matrix covered by small dolomite and some calcite crystals is disposed in a very aerial shape a huge size calcite crystal. It shows well defined faces and edges and the rotation twin. It is not a doubly terminated crystal, it is a 180º twinned crystals. Complete and no damage. With a tastefull silky luster and translucent. A delicate yellowish tone increases its aesthetics on the white matrix. It is not common see these specimens from this classic Spanish mine.
Curious aggregate of sphalerite crystals formed by several crystals of this sulfur, good brilliance, with sharp faces and edges and some transparence. Very aesthetically disposed on a matrix of white rhombohedral dolomite crystals. From a former German collection. Different than usual.
Calcite specimens from la Florida mines are known and valued worldwide. In this sample we have a complex twinned escalenohedron, "doubly terminated", with combination with the rhombohedron. Transparence is excellent, with defined striated faces and delicate edges. It has a delicate yellow to orange tone. In this specimen we can see, in the rear, the contact with the dolomite matrix where crystal had growth and an exfoliation, that does not affect the aesthetics of the sample.
These specimens appeared accompanied by pink dolomite, at level 6 of this mine. On one side there is a hoppered cavity in which it was disposed another group of crystals. A huge size and excellent specimen from this classic Spanish locality.
