RM822   Tetrahedrite with calcite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite

A specimen formed by some tetrahedrite crystals of very good size. They show faces of the positive and negative tetrahedron, very sharp and rich in faces. Some of them are coated with a thin golden patina of chalcopyrite, a very aesthetic rarity. They are accompanied by bright calcite that partially cover with a geometrical disposition. A specimen of great aesthetic and interesting by the size of its crystals.

Size: 10,0 x 8,3 x 6,0 cm.
Main crystal: 4,2 x 4,0 cm.

RM837   Tetrahedrite with quartz and sphalerite

Druse of tetrahedrite crystals with defined faces and edges. Good brilliance, with a metallic-gray tone. They show complex interpenetrating faces. Accompanied by groups of hyaline quartz crystals forming rosettes. Very aesthetic. With sphalerite in the matrix. From a classic Peruvian mine.

RM838   Tetrahedrite with sphalerite

A very rich group of tetrahedrite crystals with an intense metallic luster and deep black color, with well defined faces and edges. Faces show complex growth and some vertices are truncated by opposite tetrahedron faces. They are accompanied by groups of sphalerite crystals, complex forms, easily distinguished by its grayish dull sheen. Highlight the intense orange fluorescence of this sphalerite probably due to the presence of cadmium in its crystal lattice. From the Jaqui adit, a diferent locality not well represented in collections.
