Globular aggregates of prismatic baryte crystals, bright, defined, translucent and with a whitish color. A classic of Murcian mining.
These are the most fine quality romanèchite specimens ever found in Spain. These botryoidal aggregates show the velvet surface formed by several small romanèchite/pyrolusite crystals (see SEM photo). These specimens has not been treated, only fresh water. Romanèchite shows in fresh fracture the classic grey color. You can observe small but brilliant crystals of pyrolusite on the stalactitic surface. Analysis will be send to the buyer.
Showy specimen in the form of divergent stalactitic aggregates, with a patina of manganese oxides on the back side. Aerial and good sized. A very curious piece of this mine from Murcia.
A very notable specimen for the size of the pyrolusite sharp crystals, which form brilliant aggregates. In some areas they are partially covered by small botryoidal aggregates of goethite, black and very bright. A place under the magnifying glass.

Rich group of tabular crystals of baryte with transparency, very defined, with a book shape. It is accompanied by a L. Daunis handwritten label that refers to the Esperanza mine.

Bright, very bright aggregates of tabular crystals of pyrolusite, very well defined, and disposed on a matrix of botryoidal romanèchite. They come from a recent find in this classic Murcia mine. Both species have been analyzed and the result will be sent to the buyer. Very aesthetic specimen.
A nice druse of very curious calcite crystals showing rhombohedron terminal faces and the side faces covered with a second generation of calcite with staggered growth of intense white color. They are disposed on a matrix of goethite with manganese oxides. Special one for calcite mineral collectors.
In the matrix of goethite we observe several cavities covered by small brilliant crystals, gray metallic luster; once analyzed results indicated to be hydrohetaerolite. We discuss whether it is hetaerolita, but analysis carried by Joan Viñals indicated the hydrated form. Under the SEM-EDS, tetragonal dipyramids are observed. It is accompanied by calcite crystals and hemimorphite (tabular crystals in book shape). SEM-EDS analysis will be sent to buyer.

Group of very sharp barite crystals showing two growth generations. First one is formed by good size tabular crystals and it's coated by second generation. This second growth phase presents stalactitic-shape aggregates formed by bladed crystals and chisel-shaped terminations. With a really good luster and snowy white color. A notable recent find from this Mediterranean mining area that never stops to surprise us.
Group of interpenetrated cubic fluorite crystals with violet tones and delicate color zoning, transparence in some crystals, most being translucent. Characteristic for fluorite of this mine are the corroded faces. They are disposed on a matrix of iron oxides. What I also would like to emphisize of this piece is the mine from which it comes, near Alumbres in Cartagena, not well represented in collections.
Tabular celestite crystal with a good size and very defined faces and edges. Very aerial disposed on the matrix. Excellent transparence and brilliance. During many years these crystals were characterized as barite, but later studies showed that they were celestite. From a classic Spanish mine.
