Aesthetic specimen that combines an upper part formd by goethite botryoidal aggregates, with a semi-matt luster, and a lower part with stalactitic growths of manganese oxides. They are accompanied by hematite of intense red color and baryte. A very interesting specimen from "la Sierra de la Unión".
Rich specimen formed by several aggregates of thick pseudo-hexagonal baryte crystals, with luster, white to yellowish colour, that stand out on a matrix of goethite. The baryte specimens from this Spanish mine are highly prized by collectors. This specimen belongs from the former J. Astor collection (Barcelona). With old labels.
Showy specimen in the form of divergent stalactitic aggregates, with a patina of manganese oxides on the back side. Aerial and good sized. A very curious piece of this mine from Murcia.
These specimens of orange-colored baryte are a classic of the mineralogy of the La Unión-Cartagena area. This piece stands out for the intense brightness and a marked color zoning, which shows banded zoning on the tabular crystals, those form aesthetic rosettes. Very elegant specimen.
Specimen with a good size formed by a rich group of tabular baryte crystals, very sharp and brilliant, showing pseudohexagonal forms and with a uniform ocher color. A mine poorly represented in collections.
On a thin limonite matrix we can enjoy two aggregates and aesthetic baryte rosettes formed by lenticular crystals are arranged. Both aggregates are complete, but one of them shows an unusual perfection. It comes from a mine known for its ocher tone barytes, but this shape is not very common in this mine.
