Group of green to brownish-green pyromorphite crystals, with very marked hexagonal shapes and defined faces and edges. On matrix. It belongs from this classic Spanish mine and from which good quality specimens like this one have come out. With Viñals handwritten label.
Beryl crystal from this classic Spanish locality, very good sized, well defined faces and with muscovite at the base. Translucent in the edges. The specimen belongs from the Peter Seroka collection and due to its number label it can be placed in the 1980s. These pieces are difficult to see today.

Group of pyromorphite crystals with a brownish to green color with zoning, with very well defined hexagonal shapes and well defined faces and edges. On rocky matrix. It comes from a classic Spanish mine and from which good quality specimens have come out. An aesthetic miniature.

On a microcline-orthoclase-quartz matrix, several laminar aggregates of autunite are disposed, yellow color, transparent to translucent and brilliant. They present, as usual, intense fluorescence under UV light. It belongs to the Joan Astor collection (Barcelona), with a handwritten label and typewritten box.
Group of hexagonal pr¡smatic crystals showing a good brilliance, characteristic color and very well defined faces and edges. From a classic Spanish mine.
Sample with native bismuth and yellowish bismutite. From a classic Spanish locality.
Pyromorphite specimens from the San Andrés mine in Espiel, Córdoba, have been known since the first half of the 20th century. At the beginning of the 80s of this past century several quality specimens were recovered from the mine. This specimen, due to the date on the label of the J. Astor collection (Barcelona), can be dated to this period. The specimen shows several pyromorphite crystals, of good size, brilliant, translucent, thick and with shapes of the hexagonal barrel shaped prism, with the characteristic color between green to yellowish-green. They fill a vug in the goethite matrix. A Spanish classic.
An unusual specimen of aragonite "flos ferri", found in 1996 at the Gloria mines, in Córdoba. Stalactitic recurved forms, brilliant and with a snowy white color to slightly green-bluish in the internal parts of the specimen. They are disposed on a matrix with colourless fluorite and traces of malachite. Not easy to see samples like this from this mine.
Almandine crystal, faceted, with forms of the dodecahedron, and rounded edges. The back side is the contact with matrix or other crystals. A classic of Spanish mineralogy, nowadays very difficult to see.
A specimen of pyromorphite from this classic Spanish locality, in Córdoba. Several crystals with an intense green color, translucent and exceptional brilliance. Hexagonal crystals show barred shapes, truncated by the pinacoids. They are disposed upholstering the cavities of the matrix. A fine sample, acquired by Mr. Manchion to Joan Viñals, in 1991. Nowadays it is not easy to find samples from this mine. The pyromorphite from San Andrés Mine has been known from the first half of the XX century.
These hematite specimens belong from ancient finds (ca 1980s) in a mine located on the property of the Piquín farmhouse. In this huge size sample we can see an aesthetic botryoidal aggregates, with an exceptional luster. Even botryoidal "negative" cavities are observed, inward. In the fracture zones of the specimen, radial fibrous aggregates forming botrioids are revealed. A piece of quality without equal and very difficult to find nowadays.
Almandine crystal group, rich in faces, with forms of the dodecahedron, and rounded edges. Partially covered by gold mica. A classic of Spanish mineralogy, nowadays very difficult to see.
Huge size almandine crystal, rich in faces, with forms of the dodecahedron, and rounded edges. A classic of Spanish mineralogy, nowadays very difficult to see.
Good sized almandine crystal, with defined faces, with forms of the dodecahedron and rounded edges. It is partially coated by mica. It presents molds of contact with other crystals those growth with. A former specimens, nowadays very difficult to get, a classic for the Spanish mineralogy.
Almandine crystal, rich in faces, with forms of the dodecahedron, and rounded edges. A classic of Spanish mineralogy, nowadays very difficult to see.
A floating almandine crystal with a good size for the locality. Defined faces and rounded edges (very common), with an intense brown to black color. Acompanied by a interpenetrated minor almandine crystal. A Spanish classic.
A huge size andalusite prismatic crystal, with defined faces and rounded edges. A Spanish classic that many of us have told about and we present here for you.
On a milky quartz matrix we can enjoy some cubic fluorite crystals. One notable for its size. It shows transparency and color zoning. This color zoning is very interesting because it takes the form of an octahedron with an intense violet included in a colorless cube. It is not easy to find samples of fluorite from Cerro Muriano; so even a small dent in a corner, this piece is great quality for the locality.
Druse of very sharp fluorite crystals, with transparence and excellent yellow color. From a classic Spanish mine for the species.
Group of very sharp pyromorphite crystals with a hexagonal shape and the characteristic color. The crystals fill cavities of the matrix. Mine has became a classic Spanish for pyro.
