Concesión Morgan 3, Coayllo, Cañete, Lima, Perú

A very interesting cluster of sharp epidote crystals showing a developed striated prism, some doubly terminated. Terminal faces are defined by various pinacoids. The brilliance is excellent and the deep green color, near black in thick crystals, could be perfectly observed when light crosses through them. From a Peruvian locality not well represented in collections.

Size: 3,5 x 3,4 x 2,8 cm.
Main crystal: 18 x 8 mm.
Found in 2013.
