RM2793   Goethite and conichalcite

Divergent aggregates of good sized acicular to prismatic goethite crystals. They are accompanied by black globular aggregates that, once analyzed, have turned out to be a first generation of goethite. It is accompanied by small aggregates of green conichalcite crusts, also analyzed. The specimen shows a fissure that has been consolidated, without affecting its stability and aesthetics.

RM2682   Skutterudite and calcite

Group of skutterudite crystals, intense luster and well defined faces and edges, showing cube, octahedron and dodecahedron shapes. They are accompanied by white calcite with which they contrast. It belongs from this classic Moroccan mine and from the Joan Astor collection.

Size: 5.2 x 4.1 x 2.8 cm.
Main crystal: 7 mm.
Found in ± 1976.

RM1209   Conichalcite with calcite

An unusual specimen from this Moroccan mining area. Globular aggregates of crystaline conichalcite  with its classic green color, partially covering cavities of the matrix. To give a unique touch of quality to this sample, cavities are covered with bright, water-clear calcite crystals, many of them doubly terminated, and including or covering the conichalcite species. An excellent and brilliant specimen.

Size: 8.0 x 6.5 x 6.0 cm.
Main crystal: 5 x 1 mm
Found in 2015.

RM946   Cobaltoan calcite

A very brilliant cobaltoan calcite specimen with an intense pink color. Brilliance is due to several small calcite crystals. From a classic Moroccan locality.

Size: 5.3 x 5.1 x 4,8 cm.

RM804   Erythrite with skutterudite

In this specimen we have a very curious combination of erythrite forms. On the one hand, globular aggregates of this arsenate formed by needle like crystals with a velvet luster and a pale pink color. On the other hand, groups of lanceolated crystals with defined faces and edges, good transparence and deep purple color. All of them are disposed on a matrix with sharp cube octahedron skutterudite crystals. A fine specimen for this Moroccan locality.

Size: 6,0 x 4,3 x 3,2 cm.
Main crystal: 13 x 5 mm.
