RM1257 Calcite on quartz
A curious calcite specimen that shows the top faces of the scalenohedron, with a translucent crystal core area and the outer areas colorless, highly visible at the acute termination. Well defined, brilliant and on a matrix of quartz crystals. Nice.
Size: 10.0 x 5.5 x 5.1 cm.
Main crystal: 6.8 x 3.5 cm.
Found in 2015.
