Group of very sharp carrollite crystals showing cube forms more developed than the octahedron ones. Very bright and interpenetrating each other. Exceptional metallic luster. Highlights this specimen by small sharp and twinned crystals of chalcocite which are disposed on the carrolite faces. An unusual and very aesthetic combination.
These specimens of brochantite from the mining area of Katanga are one of my weaknesses. The long needles of this mineral, filling cavities of the matrix, special green color, brilliance and silky luster... Pure aesthetic. I hope you enjoy it.
Small but interesting specimen of curite that presents groups of brilliant acicular prismatic crystals with an intense orange color. Observed under the microscope we can see that they have transparency and are accompanied by yellow crystals soddyita. This radioactive mineral is named after Pierre Curie (see wikipedia) and this sample is from Shinkolobwe, the type locality for the species. A chance to get a piece with curite crystals.
A very brilliant and huge size crystallized primary malachite. The prismatic needle like crystals present diverging and fan-shaped groups and have an excellent luster. Color is very intense and characteristic with some zoning. With some matrix included in malachite. A very representative specimen and from a classic Katanga mining area.

The kamotoite-(Y) are the intense yellow crystalline sprays, with individual flat-laying crystals to 5 mm. In the same sample we can observe probably a small vein of yellow to orange brilliant uranophane.Kamoto is the Type Locality for the species. A very rare uranium and ytrium mineral from Katanga.
On a compact quartz matrix we have different groups of cobaltoan calcite crystals with intense purple to fuchsia color, with transparence and well defined faces and edges. It is accompanied by spherical aggregates of snowy white dolomite and some quartz crystals. A classic from Katanga Copper Crescent mines.
This specimen shows spherical aggregates of plancheite, formed by several acicular crystals in a radiated shape. On the surface of the spheres we can enjoy curious honeycomb structures. Color is between blue and blue-gray. On a vug layered by small quartz crystals. From a locality not well represented in collections for this species.
Fantastic cuprosklodowskite specimen formed by several thin acicular prismatic crystals with a brilliant green to yellow color, very brilliant and transparent. Crystals have grown in cavities covered by dark green malachite. In one of them we can enjoy a great aesthetic group of tabular barite crystals, with toasted honey color and transparent, on which a beautiful acicular aggregate of cuprosklodowskite has grown. A small beauty.
This speciemn of uranyl and copper silicate is from Musonoi, not Kalongwe. A complete sample.
