El Borracho Viejo mine, Garlitos, Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain

Groups of brilliant hexagonal barrel-shaped pyromorphite crystals. Some of them show parallel growths. With a color zoning that varies between grass green in the center to beige-green on terminal pinacoidal faces. On a matrix of minute quartz crystals. These specimens have been determined by isotopic studies with equal results to those of this mine. This sample is from an old German mineral collection.

Size: 8,7 x 2,4 x 1,5 cm.
Main crystal: 5 x 5 mm.
