Katanga Copper Crescent, Katanga, Congo, Democratic Republic of

A very brilliant crystallized primary malachite. The prismatic needle like crystals present diverging and fan-shaped groups and have an excellent luster. Good transparence. Color is very intense and characteristic with some zoning. A very representative specimen and from a classic Katanga mining area.

Size: 7,0 x 5,4 x 4,6 cm.
Main crystal: 18 mm.
Found in 2013.
