RM1847   Romanèchite

Km. 2 road Chihuahua to Cuauhtémoc, Ciudad de Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico

A very well defined botryoidal aggregate. It has a matte luster and is on a rocky matrix. These specimens were found in 2010, in the Km 2 of the road between Chihuahua and Cuauhtémoc,and it is interesting for its quality and size. This material was analyzed by Marcus Origlieri at the University of Arizona (J. Fabre) and reanalyzed "just for fun". Nowadays impossible to find these samples.

RM201   Quartz amethyst scepter

Liliana Mine, Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico

On a matrix totally covered by sharp quartz crystals, some of them with small inverse scepters, one of them more developed shows a perfect scepter shape. An elongated hyaline quartz prism with a scepter on the top with a pale amethystine tone. Really nice miniature.

Erupción-Ahumada mine, Sierra de Los Lamentos, Ahumada, Chihuahua, Mexico

Very rich specimen formed by numerous prismatic crystals of wulfenite, with orange color. They are brilliant and disposed on the matrix. A specimen more than aesthetic historical, fine quality and from a classic Mexican locality.

Erupción-Ahumada mine, Sierra de Los Lamentos, Ahumada, Chihuahua, Mexico

Group of wulfenite crystals from the well-known mina Ahumada (Chihuahua) showing intense color and luster and very marked tetragonal shape with rounded edeges. A very aesthetic specimen.

These specimens of wulfenite with the chocolate brown to orange tone are very appreciated by collectors and very difficult to see today, unless they come from former collections with tradition. This specimen shows a large group of tabular crystals, very brilliant and translucent, few small nick that does not affect the aesthetics of the specimen. A classic piece.

A nice specimen of delicate purple to violet creedite is from the early 1980's find in Santa Eulalia. Complete, brilliant, the specimen features gemmy crystals to almost 1 cm. Purple creedite specimens are unusual in the market.

RM1722   Manganocalcite with fluorite, galena and pyrite

Santa Eulalia, Aquiles Serdán, Chihuahua, Mexico

Very esthetic specimen formed by numerous aggregates of crystals of calcite manganoan, very bright, transparent to translucent, forming globular groups very well set on the matrix. They present a slightly pinkish tone due to the presence of Mn. Extremely fluorescent under LW-UV, with a spectacular pink to red color. They are accompanied by small octahedral cubic crystals of colorless and transparent fluorite. In a matrix of bright crystals of pyrite, sphalerite and galena. An exceptional piece.

Globular aggregates of mimetite crystals, with an intense luster and yellowish honey color. It is a floater and it back side there are some spherical vugs those are difficult to interpretate. Take a look. An aesthetic miniature from this famous Mexican mine.

RM2097   Arsenatian Vanadinite

San Carlos mine, San Carlos, Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico

Rich group of sharp arsenical vanadinite crystals, with curved faces prisms, barrel-shaped and many of them doubly terminated, with the characteristic color of this variety. Two generations of crystals are observed, those of greater size opaque and with a brown tone, on which a second generation of transparent toasted honey tone crystals has grown, all very very brilliant. A pleasure under the magnifying glass. This mine is also known as Apex.

RM1594   Wulfenite with arsenatian vanadinite and calcite

Very rich specimen formed by numerous prismatic crystals of wulfenite, with orange color zoning. They are brilliant and disposed very aerially on the matrix. It is accompanied by calcite, which in the back part of the specimen partially covers the crystals of wulfenite, with small aggregates of yellowish arsenatian vanadinite crystals, curiously close to pyromorphite. We will send the analysis to the buyer. A specimen more than aesthetic historical, fine quality and from a classic Mexican locality.

San Antonio mine, Santa Eulalia, Municipio de Aquiles Serdán, Chihuahua, Mexico

Botryoidal aggregates of smithsonite, with a good green color, showing possible rhombohedral forms. If we look carefully we can see several crystals of this zinc carbonate forming this forms. We emphisize on the quality of this specimen.

RM1670   Rhodochrosite

Potosí mine, Aquiles Serdán, Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico

Very rich specimen of rhodo, formed by several gemmy, rose-red elongated rhombohedrons covering the matrix on this fine, fine quality sample from the famous 1970s and 1980s finds at Santa Eulalia. Observed under magnification we can see that elongated faces are semidull and terminal rhombohedrons are brilliant and transparent. Color is really good. Not easy to find in the market specimens with this quality.
