RM794   Cuprian adamite

A huge size cuprian adamite specimen, formed by two druses of very brilliant small crystals with an intense brilliance and characteristic color, with stalactitic growths. On the back size of the specimen there are some isolated and more developed crystals of this arsenate. Really good for diplay.

RM922   Aurichalcite with calcite

Ojuela mine, Mapimí, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico

In this specimen we can observe two generations of aurichalcite. A first generation as small rosettes formed by lanceolate greenish crystals and second with thiner crystals, needle-like, some of which are included in rhombohedral calcite crystals, with a light blue color. Stand in a very aesthetic way on the matrix of goethite. A very balanced sample.

RM757   Cuprian adamite with rosasite, smithsonite and conichalcite

A rich druse of cuprian adamite crystals which is completely covering the cavity in limonite. With stalactitic growths showing an intense blue-green color. They are peppered by small white globular aggregates of smithsonite, along with areas of rosasite green. Accompanied by globular aggregates of conichalcite and very defined cuprian adamite crystals. An interesting specimen with good size.

RM1542   Mimetite, tsumcorite-arsenbrackebuschite

Ojuela mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico

Rich group of very elongated mimetite crystals, some of them doubly terminated, brilliant, translucent and with a soft yellow tone. Mimetite specimens with this shape are unusual in Ojuela mine, usually globular. They are accompanied by aggregates of tiny yellow to orange crystals of tsumcorite-arsenbrackebuschite. They are disposed in a cavity of the goethite matrix. The specimen has been analyzed and the results will be sent to the buyer. It has been published in the mineral magazine "Paragénesis" (1-2017).

RM455   Adamite

Group of very sharp adamite crystals showing an intense brilliance and color between yellow to colorless. Different orders prisms are present, isome of the end faces can remind the octahedron. Thus, in the specimen we can see very elongated crystals, some other flattened and almost equidimensional. Transparence and luster are really good. Crystals are disposed very aerial on a goethite matrix. This sample belongs to a German collection.

Exceptional specimen formed by several groups of prismatic crystals of adamite, which are disposed forming rosettes on a matrix of goethite. Crystals have a very uniform yellow color, with transparence, and very defined faces and edges. Pure aesthetic.

The crystals have a very uniform yellow color, with transparency, with very well defined faces and edges and forming rosettes. We can also observe isolated doubly terminated crystals and some almost colorless. A pleasure under the loupe magnifying glass. Good size.

A very rich specimen of cuprian adamite, formed by several very sharp pseudooctaedral crystals, with an excellent brilliance and transparence. Color is different than usual for the species and mine, with a green to bluish tones. Adamite crystals are partially covering a vug in the goethite matrix. A display huge size specimen and a very good aesthetics. From this classic classic Mexican mine.

A very rich group of cuprian adamite pseudooctahedral crystals. Well defined faces and edges, excellent brilliance and a green color with bluish tones. Disposed covering a vug on the limonite matrix. Just this specimen was published in mindat and labelled as cuprian austinite, but further analysis indicate that they were cuprian adamite. An excellent specimen.

They are filling the cavities of the limonite matrix with a intense contrast. With an old label from this ancient natural science store located in the center of the city of Barcelona.

This nice speciemn shows various globular aggregates formed by several austinite lanceolate crystals in radial growth. Good transparence, excellent brilliance and almost colorless, they are real gems. On starkly contrasting matrix with goethite-hematite and small crystals of adamite. This specimen has a superb quality for the species. I recommend the buyer to use a magnifying lens to enjoy the small crystals that are disposed on the matrix. Good choice.

This is a esthetic and good size hydrozincite specimen, very rich from Ojuela mine. Quite attractive, with little snowy balls formed by several crystals of the mineral have formed in shallow recesses in a contrasting matrix of limonite. Really nice under loupe... Gemmy and lustrous sprays of rich yellow legrandite needles, aesthetically jackstrawed in the vug, contrasting with the gossan matrix. Good color and fanshaped transparent and defined crystals.

RM1849   Legrandite

Ojuela mine, Mapimí, Municipio de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico

This specimen of legrandite shows us a group of sharp crystals of this rare zinc arsenate, with an intense orange-yellow color. It is common that some crystals appears fractured, but in this sample there are several perfect prismatic crystals, undamaged, brilliant and with an incredible transparence. I personally like isolated crystals and this piece is one of them. Good size, brightness and aesthetics, very representative for the species. Accompanied by elongated smithsonite white crystals.
