Tercera Esperanza Mine (Esperanza Mine), Cabezo de San Ginés, Sierra Minera de Cartagena-La Unión, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain

Rich group of tabular crystals of baryte with transparency, very defined, with a book shape. It is accompanied by a L. Daunis handwritten label that refers to the Esperanza mine.

RM1641   Anglesite & Galena

Monteponi, Iglesias, Carbonia-Iglesias, Sardegna, Italy

Very rich group of anglesite crystals, which show very good transparence, defined faces and edges, formed by first and second order prisms. They are disposed in a cavity of the galena matrix. From a classic Italian locality from where it is not easy to find anglesite specimens of this quality in the market. It comes from the former collection of L. Daunis (Barcelona) with handwriten label.

RM1642   Jasper

Montjuïc Mt., Barcelona, Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain

This is one of the old jasper specimens collected by Mr. L. Daunis on the Montjuïc mountain in Barcelona. A place well known by Catalan mineralogists and geologists for the characteristic variety of mineral species that have been collected during centuries. It is a jasper piece with a slightly polished part that allows to enjoy the nobility of this semi-precious stone, the rest presents the original tone. A classic Barcelona sample and label that should not miss in a quality collection.

RM1622   Orthoclase

La Machota Baja, Zarzalejo, Madrid, Spain

A huge size orthoclase crystal, showing defined prism and pinacoidal faces. It present a small repared edge made many years ago by the owner Sr. L. Daunis, a very perfect work. Crystal is embeded in this porphyry granite-adamellite, part of the potent dykes with large phenocrysts of potassium feldspar (orthoclase) of great perfection. A classic Spanish locality for the species.

RM1621   Mottramite

Tsumeb mine (Tsumcorp), Tsumeb, Otjikoto, Namibia

A specimen from this classic locality of the world mineralogy totally different from the seen. It is an old piece of a German collection, made up of an array full of green mottramite nodules. One of its faces has been cut allowing to observe the aesthetic aggregates of intense green tone that remember leaves. He analyzed the sample and shows the presence of a certain percentage of As.The results are sent to the buyer. Something very different from Tsumeb ...

RM1650   Ramsdellite

Mistake mine, Sam Powell Peak, Box Canyon, Yavapai Co., Arizona, United States

Very rich ramsdellite specimen, a rare manganese oxide, formed by several interpenetrated and some isolated groups of well defined crystals. Brilliance is really notable and on matrix. Ramsdellite from this small and defunct mine in a remote corner of Arizona was first found, in the early 1900s. However, the locality was apparently lost for some time and only rediscovered by the father/son team of Roy Jones and Dick Jones in the 1960s. These specimens are from a recent found in 2016.

Rm1619   Ramsdellite

Mistake mine, Sam Powell Peak, Box Canyon, Yavapai Co., Arizona, United States

Very rich ramsdellite specimen, a rare manganese oxide, formed by several interpenetrated and some isolated groups of well defined crystals. Brilliance is really notable and on matrix. Ramsdellite from this small and defunct mine in a remote corner of Arizona was first found, in the early 1900s. A huge size and very brilliant druse of prismatic epidote crystals forming fan-shaped forms, with a deep green color. From this classic Catalan locality where nowadays it is forbiden collect specimens.

RM1616   Chalcocite with tennantite and calcite

Mantos Cobrizos mine, Paipote, Copiapó, Atacama, Chile

Group of sharp chalcocite crystals, some isolated and other interpenetrated, tabular and with very clear twinned pseudohexagonal forms. Intense metallic luster, gray color. They stand out on a matrix of bright calcite and minor tennantite. The specimens of this locality are very rare. Novelty in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines 2017. The Mantos Cobrizos mine is a type of "mantle" deposit. This is a small Cu deposit, located in the mining district of Los Cóndores, close to Paipote, Copiapó. So far the production has been made a small scale.

More than excellent group of sharp chalcocite crystals, some isolated and other interpenetrated, tabular and with very clear twinned pseudohexagonal forms. Intense metallic luster, gray color. They stand out on a matrix of bright calcite and small tennantite crystals. The specimens of this locality are very rare. Novelty in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines 2017. A rich cluster of hyaline quartz crytals from the famous Carrara Marble quarries of Italy. The ancients believed that water solidified in the form of hyaline quartz crystals... Viewing this specimen, its purity, transparence, brilliance and perfection, perhaps we can understand their interpretation. Snowy white marble matrix with dolomite crystals. An Italian gemm.

Very rich specimen formed by numerous prismatic crystals of wulfenite, with orange color. They are brilliant and disposed on the matrix. A specimen more than aesthetic historical, fine quality and from a classic Mexican locality.

Group of fluorite crystals with cubic habit, with good transparence that allows to see a marked color zoning. The main one, shows a cavity in which other fluorite crystals have grown. Very curious. It has a fluorite matrix with interpenetrated cubic pyrite crystals. From a classic Spanish locality.

RM1649   Piemontite & Braunite

Tinizong, Oberhalbstein, Albula, Grisons, Switzerland

Piemontite specimens from this Swiss area are uncommon. We can see groups of prismatic radiated deep red piemontite crystals embeded and contrasting with the white quartz matrix. Accompanied by black layers of braunite. Piemontite has been analyzed (ARM1581) and we will send results to the buyer.

RM1644   Adamite & tsumcorite-arsenbrackebuschite

Ojuela mine, Mapimí, Municipio de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico

Aesthetic group of prismatic crystals of adamite, with good transparence and intense color. Crystals forming sheaves and isolated, defined. They are disposed on a matrix of goethite, with cavities partially covered by small globular aggregates of yellow tsumcorite-brackebuschite.

RM1643   Sphalerite with dolomite and arsenopyrite

Trepča Stan Terg Mine, Trepča, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo

Excellent group of sphalerite crystals, twinned and with complex forms. With good brilliance and intense black color. Highlights one of these crystals that shows us a large number of faces, with cube, trapezohedron, tetrahedron forms... A true crystallographic gem, not easy to find. With a matrix of brilliant dolomite crystals and some arsenopyrite.

RM1606   Minyulite with crandallite, fluellite and metavariscite

Azkarate Quarry, Eugi, Esteribar, Nafarroa (Navarra), Spain

Aesthetic and good sized minyulite specimen that shows a rich group of prismatic acicular crystals. Minyulite is a rare aluminum and potassium fluorophosphate, which in this quarry has had a remarkable deposit. Few specimens were collected between the years 1999 and 2000. To increase quality, it is accompanied in the matrix by white crandallite crystals pseudom. after fluellite, transparent and defined crystals of fluellite and stalactitic globular aggregates of metavariscite with a greenish tone. These specimens are impossible to obtain today.

RM1607   Fluellite

Azkarate Quarry, Eugi, Esteribar, Nafarroa (Navarra), Spain

This is one of the last fluellite specimens obtained from the fissure appeared in March 2000, where beautiful specimens of this rare phosphate were collected. This specimen was in the discoverer's collection for years. IVery well defined crystals, showing dipyramidal forms truncated by pinacoid, colorless to slightly violet, on a brilliant iridiscent matrix. A very distinctive specimen of the usual for this Navarrese mine, where it is impossible to get specimens. An opportunity to get a historical and very displayable specimen.

RM1575   Rutile with quartz

Kapudzhukh Mts., Zangezur Range, Nakhchivan Aut. Republic, Azerbaijan

An amazing rutile specimen with an exceptional quality for the locality and for the species. The famous rutile specimens of Kapudzhukh in Azerbaijan are already a classic. It is said, they appeared during the 90s, for only a period of two years. This specimen shows some crystals, one predominant, perfect faces, first and second order twins and dipyramids, and a more than outstanding definition.
According to explained by Rob Lavinsky, a limited number of pieces were collected during this short period. They were send to United States, at the hands of Bill Larson, through a former official of the KGB, nicknamed "Niki the Tank", who got into mineral collecting and dealing after the Wall fell.

Very aesthetic aggregates of lenticular azurite crystals forming these showy rosettes. Intense blue color. They are disposed very aerially on a matrix of malachite. No damage, perfect. A colorful classic of American mineralogy.

RM1576   Destinezite

Argenteau, Visé, Liège, Belgium

Destinezite is a rare iron phosphate-sulphate, and its type locality is Argenteau (Belgium). This specimen that we present comes from this Belgian locality. It shows the characteristic shape, nodular, with a beige tone. Nowadays is impossible to collect there.
