Montecastelli Pisano, Castelnuovo di Val di Cecina, Pisa, Toscana, ItalySpecimen of hydromagnesite formed by various globular aggregates of lanceolated and transparent crystals of this magnesium hydroxylcarbonate. They stand out for their contrast with the ophiolitic rocky matrix. It is not very common to find specimens from this Italian locality.

RM3082 Dawsonite
Senna Morta ravine, Monte Amiata, Piancastagnaio, Siena, Toscana, ItalyRadiated spray aggregates of fine dawsonite crystals, a rare aluminum sodium hydroxylcarbonate. They aredisposed on a marl matrix. They come from a known area for the species but from a new find.

RM2986 Anhydrite, pyrite and dolomite
Miniera di Campiano, Montieri, Grosseto, Toscana, ItalySpecimen of anhydrite formed by numerous prismatic to tabular crystals, well defined and interpenetrated. On the back we can see the matrix formed by dolomite and brilliant pyrite crystals. Specimens from this Italian mine, located north of Boccheggiano, were collected at the end of the 20th century. The mine worked from the early 1980s, currently the mine is closed.

La Facciata quarry, Carrara, Massa-Carrara, Toscana, ItalyA very brilliant sulfur crystal disposed on a white dolomite and marble matrix. Well defined faces and edges, a little bit curved, good transparence and excellent classic yellow color. These specimens appear in vugs inside the Carrara marble quarries and it is not easy to get them without breaking them. An Italian gem.

RM389 Pyrite with hematites
Rio Marina, Isola d'Elba, Livorno, Toscana, ItalyThis pyrite crystal is disposed very aerial on a brilliant hematite and pyrite matrix. It is not always usual find specimens from this Italian mining area placed on the matrix. Pyrite crystal shows pyritohedron classic forms with complex growths on faces. Its luster and gold color is good and it shows defined faces and edges. An excellent opportunity to have a sample from this classic locality.
