RM2252   Erythrite

On a matrix with Co-As species are disposed some groups of acicular crystals of erythrite forming colloquially called: hedgehog aggregates. They are partially covering the matrix, as isolated groups or like a velvet. The pink to fuchsia colors confers to the specimen an excellent aesthetics.

Very rich specimen formed by several white (transparent) acicular crystals of picropharmacolite and pharmacolite, accompanied by velvety pinkish Mg-rich erythrite mixed with them. Some sinfeldite crystala ggregates are present. On a nickelskutterudite matrix. Collected in Bou Azer mine in february 2018. Analyzed by SEM-EDS.

Very rich specimen formed by several white (transparent) acicular crystals of picropharmacolite and pharmacolite, accompanied by velvety pinkish Mg-rich erythrite mixed with them. Druse of roselite crystals, with good color and defined forms. They are accompanied by pink crystals of cobaltoan calcite.

Rich group of fan-shaped tabular erythrite crystals in parallel growth; very brilliant, of intense color and disposed very aerial on the matrix with quartz crystals. A fine specimen from Bou Azer.

RM1939   Wendwilsonite with Cobaltaustinite and Calcite

Aesthetic specimen formed by numerous isolated wendwilsonite crystals of good size, very well defined, some of them doubly terminated, with an intense and reddish tone. Some of them partially covered by a whitish patina only on certain faces, selectively. They are disposed on a matrix with calcite and dolomite crystals.

Interesting specimen formed by several aggregates of tabular talmessite crystals, standing out on the calcite matrix. In order to confirm the species, we carried out a chemical analysis using SEM-EDS, which confirms the presence of Ca and Mg and the almost absence of Co, consistent with talmessite or wendwilsonite. On the other hand, X-ray diffraction confirms talmessite. Performing this structural (XRD) and compositional analysis (SEM-EDS) allows us to delimit the species. Spheroidal aggregates of slightly curved faces and edges. Color and luster are magnificent for the species and contrast on a base of small slightly pink crystals of calcite (Mn), on matrix. We'll send a the analysis to the buyer.

These specimens show a matrix formed by arsenates such as erythrite and associated sulphides and arsenates of cobalt and iron. We can observe on both the presence of arborescent, filiform and laminar gold aggregates. SEM analysis has shown that this is a variety of gold rich in silver (23-24%w): electrum.
Under loupe, we can enjoy that some of these gold aggregates are formed by small crystals of octahedral to cubic forms. We can theorize a secondary genesis for this gold-electrum. We have analyzed the matrix of these specimens observing that the bright metallic matrix corresponds to a mixture of cobalt arsenides, probably skutterudite, and other sulphides. We will send all analyzes to the buyer. The deposit where the electrum appeared has been totally covered by mine lands, so more samples can not be obtained on the field. A very rich gold-electrum specimen.

A very aesthetic specimen that shows a vug in the sulphide matrix, partially covered by tabular lanceolated crystals of erythrite. They are disposed very aerial in elegant radial aggregates. Intense color and transparence. They are accompanied by small groups of pale pink almost colorless talmessite-wendwilsonitecrystals of  and almost black crystals of arseniosiderite. All standing out on the dolomite. A sample of very good quality and that under increase makes us enjoy these arsenates. We will send all the analytical results to the buyer.

RM1697   Wendwilsonite with aragonite and cobaltaustinite

Aesthetic specimen of wendwilsonite formed by numerous sized and isolated crystals, transparent, very well defined, some of them doubly terminated. With an intense and uniform pink color. We also observed some aggregates with a yellowish green tone; the SEM-EDS analysis indicates that it is a rich Cu cobaltaustinite that curiously presents a remarkable content in Zn and Ni, something unusual. They are disposed on a matrix with brilliant crystals of calcite and dolomite. The sample has been analyzed completely, so we will send the buyer all the results.

In the back side, we have a druse very rich in crystals. They are disposed on a matrix with brilliant calcite crystals and dolomite. Some talmessite crystals with an orange tone are asociated. The sample has been analyzed and we will send all results to the buyer. The sample has been analyzed by SEM-EDS and Raman. The results indicate a very low Co content and the Raman indicates that it is wendwilsonite. We will send the buyer all the details.

An unusual specimen from this Moroccan mining area. Globular aggregates of crystaline conichalcite  with its classic green color, partially covering cavities of the matrix. To give a unique touch of quality to this sample, cavities are covered with bright, water-clear calcite crystals, many of them doubly terminated, and including or covering the conichalcite species. An excellent and brilliant specimen.
