RM204 Hopeite with parahopeite
Kabwe mine (Broken Hill), Kabwe, Central province, ZambiaHopeite and parahopeite are rare hydrated zinc phosphates, with the very best specimens worldwide coming from the famous Broken Hill Mine of Zambia. This specimen shows prismatic crystals of hopeite with brown color, some of them partially covered by colorless small parahopeite crystals. Broken Hill is the Type Locality for parahopeite. Rare species for systematic collector.
Size: 7,3 x 5,7 x 3,2 cm.
Main crystal: 7 x 3 mm.
