They present, as usual, intense fluorescence under UV light. It belongs to the Joan Astor collection (Barcelona), with a handwritten label and typewritten box.

RM2402 Pyromorphite
San Andrés mine, Espiel, Córdoba, Andalucía, SpainPyromorphite specimens from the San Andrés mine in Espiel, Córdoba, have been known since the first half of the 20th century. At the beginning of the 80s of this past century several quality specimens were recovered from the mine. This specimen, due to the date on the label of the J. Astor collection (Barcelona), can be dated to this period. The specimen shows several pyromorphite crystals, of good size, brilliant, translucent, thick and with shapes of the hexagonal barrel shaped prism, with the characteristic color between green to yellowish-green. They fill a vug in the goethite matrix. A Spanish classic.

RM2191 Aragonite "flos ferri"
Minas Gloria, Cardenchosa, Hornachuelos, Córdoba, Andalucía, SpainAn unusual specimen of aragonite "flos ferri", found in 1996 at the Gloria mines, in Córdoba. Stalactitic recurved forms, brilliant and with a snowy white color to slightly green-bluish in the internal parts of the specimen. They are disposed on a matrix with colourless fluorite and traces of malachite. Not easy to see samples like this from this mine.

RM2022 Pyromorphite
San Andrés mine, Espiel, Córdoba, Andalucía, SpainA specimen of pyromorphite from this classic Spanish locality, in Córdoba. Several crystals with an intense green color, translucent and exceptional brilliance. Hexagonal crystals show barred shapes, truncated by the pinacoids. They are disposed upholstering the cavities of the matrix. A fine sample, acquired by Mr. Manchion to Joan Viñals, in 1991. Nowadays it is not easy to find samples from this mine. The pyromorphite from San Andrés Mine has been known from the first half of the XX century.

RM1490 Hematite
Piquín farmhouse, Córdoba, Andalucía, SpainThese hematite specimens belong from ancient finds (ca 1980s) in a mine located on the property of the Piquín farmhouse. In this huge size sample we can see an aesthetic botryoidal aggregates, with an exceptional luster. Even botryoidal "negative" cavities are observed, inward. In the fracture zones of the specimen, radial fibrous aggregates forming botrioids are revealed. A piece of quality without equal and very difficult to find nowadays.

RM810 Fluorite with quartz
Cerro Muriano, Córdoba, Andalucía, SpainOn a milky quartz matrix we can enjoy some cubic fluorite crystals. One notable for its size. It shows transparency and color zoning. This color zoning is very interesting because it takes the form of an octahedron with an intense violet included in a colorless cube. It is not easy to find samples of fluorite from Cerro Muriano; so even a small dent in a corner, this piece is great quality for the locality.
