RM858 Carrollite with chalcocite
Kamoya South II mine, Kambove, Katanga, Shaba, Congo, Democratic Republic ofGroup of very sharp carrollite crystals showing cube forms more developed than the octahedron ones. Very bright and interpenetrating each other. Exceptional metallic luster. Highlights this specimen by small sharp and twinned crystals of chalcocite which are disposed on the carrolite faces. An unusual and very aesthetic combination.
Size: 5.0 x 4.0 x 2.4 cm.
Main crystal: 15 x 12 mm.
Found in 2001.
