RM3108 Microcline Carlsbad twin, albite and muscovite
Shigar Valley, Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanTwinned crystal of very good size from microcline, with very well defined faces, brilliant and white in color with orange stains. From what we can see, the main crystal is formed by a Carlsbad twin whose union plane is (010). It can be seen that the brilliance of both crystals is different. It is accompanied by albite (var. clevelandite) and muscovite. Microcline specimens such as this one can be considered among the best finds in recent years. It belonged to a great collector of feldspars such as Peter Seroka (L'Escala, Girona, Catalonia).
Size: 12.8 x 7.9 x 6.3 cm.
Found in ±2015.

RM3057 Columbite-(Mn) and Albite
Shengus, Haramosh Mts., Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanIn this specimen we can enjoy different columbite crystals, one of them predominant, although there are smaller, transparent and reddish ones. The analyzes of the specimen indicate the majority presence of niobium and manganese, so it is a columbite-(Mn) (you can check analysis in pictures). The main crystal stands out for its faceting, it has a small dent without affecting the quality of the piece. It comes from the collection of Michel Jouty (1930-2016).
Size: 5.7 x 5.4 x 3.8 cm.
Main crystal: 8 x 7 mm.

RM2231 Beryl, var.aquamarine
Shengus, Haramosh Mts., Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanSpecimen of beryl aquamarine variety, with good thickness and size. Very transparent, delicate bluish color, with developed prism faces and with terminal faces of the dipyramid truncated by the pinacoid. A gemmy piece.
Size: 3.5 x 3 x 2.7 cm.
RM1868 Elbaite
Stak Nala, Haramosh Mts., Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanTwo crystals of elbaite in parallel growth. Intense color, with greenish transparence on the upper part. Striated prismatic faces with very clear terminal rhombohedrons. A little gem...
Size: 3.8 c 1.2 x 0.6 cm.

RM1867 Elbaite and clevelandite
Stak Nala, Haramosh Mts., Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanPrismatic crystal of bicolored elbaite, with striated faces and defined terminal rhombohedrons with pinacoid. With white clevelandite.
Size: 3 x 1.5 x 1 cm.
Main crystal: 30 x 5 mm.
RM828 Beryl (aquamarine) with albite
Dasso, Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanA very curious aquamarine crystal showing a well developed prism and a very interesting termination, not very common for the species. We can see at the top, the sharp faces of the dipyramid. On this terminal faces have grown another crystals finishing on the top by a dipyramid truncated by the pinacoid. It has a slight bluish tone. Transparence and brilliance are very good. It is very vertically disposed on albite crystals matrix. A crystallographic gemmy specimen.
Size: 7,0 x 4,2 x 2,7 cm.
Main crystal: 29 x 8 mm.
RM825 Beryl (aquamarine) with albite, fluorapatite and dravite
Dasso, Shigar Valley, Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanExcellent group of doubly terminated aquamarine crystals showing a well developed prism and a very interesting terminal faces: the first order dipyramid truncated by the pinacoid. It has a slight bluish tone, near colorless. Transparence and brilliance are very good. With some unknown reddish inclusions (rutile?). Accompanied by some aquamarine doubly terminated crystals, albite-feldspar, dravite and colorless fluorapatite (between two V beryl crystals, see photo). A gemmy specimen.
Size: 6,0 x 5,5 x 4,0 cm.
Main crystal: 21 x 8 mm.
Found in 2013.
RM656 Fluorite quth qaurtz, schorl and feldspar
Yuno, Shigar Valley, Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanExcellent specimen of fluorite showing well defined cube and octahedron forms, with a good green color and transparence. The disposition is perfect on a feldspar matrix. It is accompanied by several hyaline quartz crystals, many of them doubly terminated and some with probably rutile inclusions. Also with schorl-dravite crystals implanted in the matrix, together with small groups of hexagonal fluorapatite crystals (visible under LW-UV). A superb quality Pakistani specimen for the best fluorite collector display.
Size: 9,7 x 8,4 x 5,7 cm.
Main crystal: 24 x 20 mm.
Found in 08/2013.

RM653 Beryl (aquamarine) with muscovite and albite
Dasso, Shigar Valley, Skardu, Gilgit, Baltistan, PakistanExcellent aquamarine crystal showing a well developed prism and a very interesting termination, not very common for the species. We can see at the top, the sharp faces of the first order dipyramid, with one isolated face (curious!) of a third order dipyramid. Moreover, the apex is truncated by the pinacoid. It has a slight bluish tone, near colorless. Transparence and brilliance are very good. On the faces of the prism some groups of muscovite and albite crystals have grown. It is very vertically disposed on a white matrix of albite with muscovite, with a small another aquamarine. A gem on matrix.
Size: 5,4 x 3,5 x 3,3 cm.
Main crystal: 50 x 12 mm.
