RM699   Adamite with goethite

Mina Ojuela, Mapimí, Municipio de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico

Groups of fan-shaped adamite crystals with good color, more intense at the terminal faces, from light yellow to yellowish green. Good brilliance and perfect disposition on the matrix.


Size: 4,3 x 3,9 x 3,8 cm
Main crystal: 12 x 10 mm.

RM496   Cuprian adamite

A very rich specimen of cuprian adamite, formed by several very sharp pseudooctaedral crystals, with an excellent brilliance and transparence. Color is different than usual for the species and mine, with a green to bluish tones. Adamite crystals are partially covering a vug in the goethite matrix. A display huge size specimen and a very good aesthetics. From this classic classic Mexican mine.

RM574   Cuprian adamite

A very rich group of cuprian adamite pseudooctahedral crystals. Well defined faces and edges, excellent brilliance and a green color with bluish tones. Disposed covering a vug on the limonite matrix. Just this specimen was published in mindat and labelled as cuprian austinite, but further analysis indicate that they were cuprian adamite. An excellent specimen.


Size: 8,5 x 4,7 x 3,5 cm.

RM612   Austinite on goethite-hematite

This nice speciemn shows various globular aggregates formed by several austinite lanceolate crystals in radial growth. Good transparence, excellent brilliance and almost colorless, they are real gems. On starkly contrasting matrix with goethite-hematite and small crystals of adamite. This specimen has a superb quality for the species. I recommend the buyer to use a magnifying lens to enjoy the small crystals that are disposed on the matrix. Good choice.

This speciemn shows various aggregates formed by several austinite lanceolate crystals. Good transparence, excellent brilliance and slight greenish tone. On starkly contrasting matrix with goethite-hematite. This specimen has a good quality for the species. RM614   Austinite and adamite on goethite

This specimen shows a rich group of lanceolated austinite crystals with an excellent transparence and brilliance and a slight greenish tone. They contrast on the goethite matrix layered by several sharp adamite crystals, defined, brilliant and with a yellow to orange color. A sample with aesthetic and mineralogical interest for the quality of the austinite and its paragenesis.

RM703   Wulfenite with mimetite

A great and aesthetic wulfenite specimen from well-known Ojuel mine. Two groups of wulfenite crystals with parallel growth, one of them with prismatic form and intense orange color and brilliance. Attracts our attention for its complex terminal acute faces and it is aesthetically disposed and contrasts with the limonite matrix. They are accompanied by a group of green globular aggregates of mimetite. Both minerals are fluorescent. To be displayed.
