RM1887 Curite and heterogenite
Shinkolobwe Mine, Shinkolobwe, Katanga Copper Crescent, Katanga, Congo, Democratic Republic ofVery rich curite specimen, with some intense orange color crystals and the rest black due to being coated by heterogenite. The sample comes from the former Coune collection and according to its owner was adquired from the 90s, but specimen could be older. Curite crystals are disposed in a very contrasted way on the white matrix. From the type locality for the species.

Kabolela Mine, Kambove District, Katanga Copper Crescent, Katanga, Congo, Democratic Republic ofHeterogeneite specimens of Kabolela are among the most appreciated by systematic mineral collectors. This piece shows a botryoidal aggregate, of which we consider HCoO2 formula, according to the latest studies on the species. Intense black color, brilliance, waxy luster... A classic and very aesthetic definitive specimen.
